Virginia Lyme Disease

Virginia Lyme Disease first appeared on Backyard Bug Patrol

The past few years have felt like the Perfect Storm when it comes to Lyme disease. And it doesn’t look like that will be changing soon. Virginia is full of trees and fields – the perfect breeding grounds for ticks. And while telling your kids to wear long pants, shoes, and bugspray every time they play outside just isn’t practical. But the last thing I want is for anyone in my family to contract Lyme disease – a far more common occurrence than you may be aware of.

That’s why Backyard Bug Patrol offers integrated pest management programs. These programs incorporate multiple avenues of attack. Remember, our Tick Tunnels attack deer ticks at their early source and are designed so that the white footed mouse takes the treated cotton balls back to their den. The treated cotton balls will kill the ticks but don’t harm the mouse. This process, combined with our barrier spray treatment, will completely disrupt the life cycle of the ticks in and around your yard.

We treat two times per year. But, if you have a seasonal contract and are faced with pest problems in between those treatments, we will gladly come out and retreat your yard for free.

Don’t hesitate. Take action to protect you and your family. You should never have to be afraid to let your kids play in your own yard.
